Stress Congress 2017
Let’s look back at last year’s congress to give you an impression on what to expect. The previous congress took place at the Hazemeijer in Hengelo. Although it might not sound familiar, most of you have probably seen this location before since it consists of the former industrial buildings close to the train station of Hengelo. The Hazemeijer’s unique industrial atmosphere and the delicious catering of the Proeflokaal set the stage for a successful day!
The day kicked off with an inspiring lecture from Pim Betist. Students listened attentively how this entrepreneur abandoned his corporate life by following his dream and starting his own crowdfunding platform, sellaband.com. After selling this company he continued in the music business by helping African bands realize their dream. This key note speaker was followed up with various practitioners who inspired students by expressing their ideas and experiences on different topics of Internationalisation. During the lunchbreak students had the opportunity to visit the company market while enjoying a nice lunch provided by the Proeflokaal.
In the afternoon Cape group, Benchmark, Stork and Scania made students experience what it is like to work in their organisations by providing challenging cases. This gives you the opportunity to show these companies your skills and get potential internships or graduation assignment offers. After this hard work, it was time for the moment we all waited for, tasting the delicious local craft beer. Based on the many laughs and conversations the beer tasted good and participants had a great time. For some the day continued a bit longer, while they had the chance to enjoy a lovely dinner with the company representatives.
We hope this gave you an idea about the Stress Congress and convinced you to join the next edition!
